From 74c46239b923b3cd126d6ed307e42b9b4be2d0ab Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Michiel van Slobbe Date: Sat, 31 Oct 2026 16:52:18 +0100 Subject: [PATCH] ci: update outdated dependencies when installing NetBSD packages (#3696) The NetBSD job failed when installing git on a fresh runner, because the image ships pcre2-10.48 and the git package needs pcre2>=10.48nb1, and pkg_add does not update installed dependencies by default. Pass -uu to pkg_add so it also updates installed dependencies that are too old. Also drop the PKG_PATH override. netbsd-vm now writes the live package mirrors for the running release to /etc/pkg_install.conf, so the override is no longer needed to avoid the image's 9.0 fallback. --- .github/workflows/bsd.yml | 8 +++----- 1 file changed, 3 insertions(+), 5 deletions(-) diff --git a/.github/workflows/bsd.yml b/.github/workflows/bsd.yml index fe75fe1d..4ce3319f 100644 --- a/.github/workflows/bsd.yml +++ b/.github/workflows/bsd.yml @@ -59,11 +59,9 @@ jobs: usesh: true cache-after-prepare: true prepare: | - # The image's default PKG_PATH falls back to a 9.0 package set; - # point it at the running release instead. - PKG_PATH="https://cdn.NetBSD.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/$(uname -m)/$(uname -r)/All/" - export PKG_PATH - pkg_add autoconf automake libtool gmake git + # -uu also updates installed dependencies that are too old, such + # as the image's pcre2 when git needs a newer build. + pkg_add -uu autoconf automake libtool gmake git run: | set -e # The VM runs as root over a checkout owned by another uid, so git
